- Grandmother’s Vision
Mother saw Chernobyl, six months before the time
I said, “Mom, impossible! Who would commit such a crime?”
Mother told me what to do when the clouds rained down radiation
Mother said, “they will not tell you, but it will spread across the nation.”
In April, 1986, I had forgotten what Mom had said
Then when it happened, I recalled -- my heart was filled with dread
I did exactly what she instructed, feeling like a fool
After all, everything Mother saw before always had come true
But Grandmother -- oh, my Grandmother
There have been few others with her visions
For her it was like a movie screen, or watching television
Just to name a few:
Terrorism
World War II
Global Warming…and countless others
Grandmother died in 1969
I was too young to realize the treasure of such a Grandmother
She even saw the hearts of men
And told me to stop when
I was thinking about a certain (secret) boy (I still won’t say who)
Described him to a “T” -- said to keep my “mind on God and school”
There’s one Very Special vision I want to talk about
Watching a TV biography, I nearly cried out
Grandmother saw a Black President -- in my spirit I knew
The man that Grandmother saw was smiling on the “tube”
(They may not be as strong as Grandmother’s, but I have gifts, too.)
I knew he was the One -- that was nearly a year ago
Even when he was wasn’t sure, even when he didn’t know
People did not believe me back then; some still don’t believe me today
But in my spirit Truth speaks, I know that I know whenever I say
Grandmother’s Black President is in our midst today
I’m sure as night and day; I’m sure as white and black
President number 44 is a Senator named “Barack”.
